Over the last 34 years we have built up our reputation by doing work for local authorities, Chester-le-Street and Derwentside Councils, Durham University and several established television shops throughout the region. The business was started by Fred and Valerie Knighton and is now led by their son Philip Knighton. In addition to working on a commercial basis we specialise in the domestic fitting side as we also work with a variety of housing associations and landlord’s as well as property management companies. All our installers have the appropriate qualifications to undertake TV and satellite work.

You and the digital switch over.
Starting in 2008 and ending by 2012, all TV services in the UK will go digital, TV region by TV region with services like freeview and freesat. This process is called the "digital switchover". The UK’s current terrestrial television broadcast signal (known as “analogue”) will be switched off and replaced with a new “digital” signal for freeview and freesat. Any TV set or other equipment that has not been converted to receive a digital signal when the switchover has taken place will no longer be able to receive TV programmes on freeview or freesat.
It's not all bad news though because modern digital equipment is inexpensive and the viewing experience is greatly enhanced.
The North East is covered by the ‘Tyne Tees’ region and the ‘digital switchover’ will be completed in the Tyne Tees TV region during 2012.
